1	Soyuz 2A	Planned mission to dock with Soyuz 1. Two Soyuz 2A crew members would have spacewalked to Soyuz 1 and landed with Komarov. Cancelled due to rains and after problems with Soyuz 1 forced an early return. After Soyuz 1′s crash, the Soyuz 2A spacecraft was inspected and its parachute system had the same technical failure as Soyuz 1′s parachute system.

Engineering diploma; doctorate degree; Major General, Soviet Air Force; he was selected as cosmonaut on 07.03.1960 (TsPK-1); OKP: 3/60 - 03.04.1961; was assigned as backup-commander for Voskhod 2; later professor at Air Force Engineering Academy, Moscow; presently General Director AA & AL, Moscow.
From December 1965 until the end of January 1966, the Voszhod-3 military program was replaced by Shonin from February. He trained in the "Stikovka" (Docking) program until April 1967; until August 1966 with Nikolayev and Kolodin, from September with Nikolayev and Kubasov as a "isledovatyel inzhenyer" (research engineer) for backup crew.
After the Disaster in Soyuz-1, Gorbatko started training again in June of 1967 in the Docking program until December 1968; until July with Nikolayev and Kubasov, from August with Filipchenko and Kubasov as a research engineer for backup crew.
