The ORS Tech 1 and 2 (Operationally Responsive Space - Technology) satellites, formerly tknown as MBD 1 and 2 (Multimission Bus Demonstration), were created by the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL) as a flexible and modular multi-mission nano-satellite spacecraft architecture for low-cost execution of critical missions.
