Mission:

• The EPOXI (formerly Deep Impact) probe made a course correction on Nov 1, 2007 to set up for a Dec 31, 2007 Earth flyby, and an encounter with comet 103P/Hartley 2 on 2010 Oct 11, just before the comet reaches perihelion at 1.06AU on 2010 Oct 28.
• EPOXI will pass 15566 km over Australia at 1930 UTC on Dec 31, 2007. The flyby will change its solar orbit from 0.98 x 1.64 AU x 0.7 deg to 0.91 x 1.09 AU x 4.2 deg.
• On Jan 1, 2010 the Deep Impact Flyby Spacecraft, in a 0.97 x 1.02 AU x 6.7 deg orbit, and will encounter comet 103P/Hartley-2 on Oct 11.
• The Deep Impact Flyby Spacecraft, carrying out the EPOXI mission, flew past Earth on Jun 27, 2010. Closest approach of 30480 km was at 2203 UTC; the encounter changes DI's solar orbit from 0.97 x 1.03 AU x 6.6 deg to 0.98 x 1.22 AU x 3.2 deg and puts it on course to encounter comet 103P/Hartley-2 on Nov 4.
• The Deep Impact/EPOXI mission has come to an end. Last contact with the Deep Impact Flyby spacecraft was on Aug 11, 2013 and attempts to revive it have been abandoned.
  In Oct 2012 the probe was targeted towards minor planet (163249) 2002 GT, which it might have reached in 2020. DIF is in a 0.97 x 1.21 AU x 3.2 deg heliocentric orbit.
