Description:

• BRITE-PL 2 is a small satellite built in Poland. The spacecraft weighs about 15 pounds (7 kg) and will measure the variability of the brightest stars in the sky.

Mission details:

• Poland's BRITE-P2 'Heweliusz' (Hewelius) astronomy nanosatellite was carried as a secondary payload. It is named after astronomer Jan Heweliusz (aka Jan Howelcke) (1611-1687).
  This sixth and final member of the initially planned BRITE constellation carries an R-band photometer.
