Description:

• TELKOM 3S is a commercial broadcast geostationary satellite owned by Telkom Indonesia, designed to support high-definition television broadcasts, communications on-the-go, and broadband Internet services. The satellite carries 32 C-band and 10 Ku-band transponders. From its final geostationary perch at 118 degrees east longitude, Telkom 3S will reach customers across Indonesia, Malaysia and other parts of Southeast Asia.
• Telkom-3S is replacing the Telkom 3 satellite, which was stranded in an unusable orbit.

Mission details:

• The VA235 flight placed two satellites in geotransfer orbit: SkyBrasil-1 for AT&T/DirectTV Latin America and Intelsat (which calls the satellite Intelsat-32e), and Telkom-3S for the Indonesian operator Telkom.
