Mission details:

• ANUSAT is a student-built 40-kg micro educational satellite carrying an Amateur Radio payload. The launch vehicle was ISRO's PSLV-C12, which as well as ANUSAT also carried RISAT-2, a 300-kg radar imaging satellite. ANUSAT (Anna University Satellite) is the first satellite built by an Indian University under the overall guidance of ISRO and will demonstrate the technologies related to message store and forward operations. The Amateur Radio payload is a 145/435 MHz Digital Store and Forward system developed by students at the university and the planned orbit was at 550 km with an inclination of 41 degrees.

Mission details:

• ANUSAT (Anna University Microsatellite) is an amateur radio satellite, operated by and manufactured by the Anna University, Chennai. Satellite is a cube with solar panels on its side.
• First satellite built by Indian university under direction of IRSO. Will demonstrate to students store and forward communications.
• RISAT-2 separated from the PS4 at 01:32 UTC, and two minutes later Anusat, a small 40 kg imaging satellite from Anna University in Chennai, was also ejected from the stage.
