Making history and beginning a new commercial space transportation era, the Falcon 9, flying for the third time, successfully delivered the SpaceX Dragon capsule to the International Space Station. After becoming the first private company to launch and recover a spacecraft from orbit in December 2010, Space Exploration Technologies, the leading private space exploration company, made history by delivering the first private cargo craft to the ISS.

The Falcon 9, about 160 feet tall, stands on Pad 40 at Cape Canaveral AFS following a Wet Dress Rehearsal (WDR), or fueled-up practice countdown, on March 1.
