Cargo spacecraft "Progress-M 54"

Mission Report:

• 19th cargo to ISS - mission 19P.
• The Progress M-54 cargo spacecraft (factory number 354) was launched by Soyuz-U from Baykonur on Sep 8, 2005 and docked with Zvezda at 1442 UTC on Sep 10.
• The supply craft's thrusters were used to reboost the ISS on 22 Feb 2006. This was the second time that the Progress thrusters were used to reboost the ISS, the first time was which the Progress-M 55 on 11 Feb 2006.
  The engines of the Progress M-54 were fired at 17:50 GMT for 810 seconds, delivering an impulse of 1.63 m/s and increasing the mean altitude of the complex by 3 km. The burn set up the orbit of the complex in readiness for the launch of the Exp. 13 crew on Soyuz TMA-8.
• At 10:06 UT on 3 March 2006 the Progress M-54 cargo was undocked from the rear docking unit of the Zvezda module. After being pushed away from the module by springs, the engines of the craft were then fired to place the craft in an independent orbit from the ISS.
  At 13:05 UT the engines of the ship were fired for the final time to send it into a planned destructive re-entry path during which it burned up in the upper atmosphere of Earth with any remaining fragments splashing down into the south Pacific Ocean, less than 50 minutes after the burn had started.
• The Progress M-54 cargo ship undocked from the Zvezda module on Mar 3, 2006 at 1006 UTC and fired its engines to re-enter over the Pacific at 1305 UTC. Progress M-55 remains docked to the Pirs module.
