Events:
EVA 12 April 1987 to remove bag preventing docking of Kvant. Total costs Feb 1986-Apr 1989 (return of Soyuz TM-9) 1. 471 billion rubles. Includes Mir, Kvant, all Soyuz and Progress, and 2 new modules. 12/16 June 1987 EVA's to install aux. solar panels. EVA February 1988 to replace one of the two lower panels of two-tier solar arrays. 30 June 88 EVA to attempt repair of TTM shadow mask X-ray telescope. Tool broke off. EVA 20 October 1988 repair successfully completed. Joint French mission December 1988 utilized Physalie biomedical equipment. EVA 12 December erected ERA lattice structure. As of April 1989 50% of scientific equipment inoperable and interior cramped due to lack of extension modules. Electric power supply problems reported in April 1989. Batteries would not hold charge from panels. Mass 27,300 kg as of January 1990. Complex mass with Kvant-2 65,790 kg; with Kristall, Soyuz TM, and Progress M, 89,990 kg.
